Ridvan Yilmaz ruled out, Tom Lawrence and Kemar Roofe in squad – Confirmed Rangers v Ross County team news
Rangers will be without Ridvan Yilmaz for their clash with Ross County on Saturday through injury, but he has returned to training Michael Beale confirmed.
The Turkish left-back is yet to feature this season after picking up an injury in pre-season and had been expected to be fit again before the Greenock Morton clash but didn’t feature.
And the boss has revealed in his pre-match press conference that the defender is back in training but won’t be fit to return, while Tom Lawrence and Kemar Roofe are fit and will travel with the squad for the game at the Global Engergy Stadium.
Boost
Obviously Ridvan being out injured is a big blow but it’s becoming a bit of an expected thing now, and it’s more surprising when he’s available at this point.
Lawrence and Roofe obviously didn’t feature in the midweek clash with PSV Eindhoven but Lawrence played for the B team and scored, and with both players proving their fitness after long lay-offs this is a big boost for Beale and Rangers.

Having more attacking options is a big lift considering the way the team has struggled to find fluidity and cohesion so far this season, and they can both help add goals and creativity to the side.
Neither player is expected to start the game, but it’s a good chance to show what they can offer off the bench for the rest of the season too.
The manager admitted that he has considered them both as potential starters going forward and this is their chance to impress and show they can step in and be the player the manager thinks they are.
