Leeds United bid ready for Glen Kamara as four new signings worked on
Leeds United are working on a bid for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara as part of four new signings late in the window, according to Dean Jones.
The English Championship side confirmed the arrival of Joel Piroe from Swansea City on Thursday [24 August] in an eight-figure deal.
With a week to go until the window closes, Jones told GIVEMESPORT on Thursday [24 August] that focus is now on signing Kamara and two others as part of a transfer blitz.

“Thursday and Friday this week are viewed as really key days for Leeds with a bid for Kamara ready to be lodged but other serious interest in players also being stepped up,” Jones said, prior to the Piroe deal going through.
“They are close to three other deals that I know of and those are [Nadiem] Amiri, Piroe and [Joseph] Paintsil from Genk. I have it on good authority that those are being worked on.
“But of course there are additional names also being linked and I think it all reflects upon the urgency Leeds are in to make sure the success of their transfer business does not go all the way to deadline day.”
A new chapter
Rangers boss Michael Beale said earlier this week he was unaware of any concrete interest in Kamara from Leeds, but that may now have changed.
The Finland international has been a great servant for the Gers over the past four-and-a-half years, but he has been ostracised of late and is currently training away from the first team.
Beale is eager to offload the 27-year-old and a fee of around £5.5million could be enough to get a deal over the line.

That would be good business for the Scottish side given that they signed Kamara from Dundee for just £100,000 in January 2019.
The Arsenal academy product will be remembered fondly at Ibrox for his part in winning the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and reaching the Europa League final during his time in Glasgow.
A new chapter now seemingly awaits as Rangers weigh up Leeds’ offer when it does eventually arrive.
In other Rangers news, Beale has reportedly been wowed by a player who was previously close to the Ibrox exit.
