Rangers transfer news as Trabzonspor make contact for Ianis Hagi exit
Trabzonspor have contacted Rangers over the potential signing of Ianis Hagi as the Romanian looks set to leave Ibrox, according to Fotomac.
The Turkish outlet reported on its website on Wednesday (23 August) that the Turkish club has looked towards the Rangers midfielder after he was omitted from the Light Blues Champions League squad for the tie against PSV.
Hagi was outspoken about his frustration at the lack of game time he has had at Ibrox so far this season after the Gers’ win over Morton in the Viaplay club and was then quickly left out of Michael Beale’s side for Europe and Trabzonspor began preliminary talks over securing his services.

The Romanian’s time at Ibrox is reportedly over with his Glasgow exit already advanced (Stevie Clifford, 22 August) with Hagi asking Beale to move this summer in search of the regular first-team football that he hasn’t managed in Scotland.
“Interviews” are said to be done ahead of a possible exit.
Advancing quickly
Beale will want his departures this summer to be nice and quick so that he can reinvest any money that is earned this summer back into his playing squad as he continues to look for a Ryan Kent replacement.
A move to Turkey should suit Hagi as he will likely be a regular fixture in the Trabzonspor team and consistent minutes will likely see him maintain his place in the Romanian national team after some have called for him to be dropped in recent days.

Beale’s squad is currently bloated with several fringe players remaining in Glasgow despite their futures lying elsewhere and he and those in charge at Ibrox must be able to find a solution for these players before the transfer window closes.
While some Rangers fans will be disappointed to see the back of Hagi if he is to complete his exit this summer, he like many others who have departed Ibrox is a victim of the complete squad overhaul Beale has carried out in the hope of catching Celtic.
In other Rangers news, there could be one more addition at Ibrox this summer before the transfer window closes
