Rangers sent ‘vastly experienced’ warning ahead of Champions League clash v PSV
Rangers will face a “vastly experienced” manager in Peter Bosz when they take on PSV in the Champions League, according to BBC Scotland journalist Liam McLeod.
The Gers take on the Dutch outfit in the Champions League play-off round, with the first leg taking place at Ibrox on Tuesday (22 August).
PSV currently have Bosz in their dugout, with the manager having taken over from Ruud van Nistelrooy earlier this summer.

“Unfortunately for Rangers, Van Nistelrooy’s successor knows how to win games at Ibrox,” McLeod wrote for BBC Scotland.
“Vastly experienced Dutchman Peter Bosz was in charge of Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon when they won recent Europa League games in Glasgow, although he wouldn’t last much longer at either club as they dropped down their respective leagues.”

Massive tie
It’s a massive tie for Rangers, who need to progress to the group stages of the Champions League if they are to have any hope of keeping fans on board this season.
Of course a lengthy Europa League run would also be welcomed, but the Champions League is the pinnacle of European football, and Rangers will want to be there battling it out against the very best clubs.
But Beale will not be thinking about the huge rewards that such a scenario would offer his club right now, with the first leg clash against PSV the only thing on his mind.
The Dutch side travel to Ibrox in better form than their opponents, but the stadium will be bouncing, with the hosts relying on a tremendous atmosphere generated by their fans to help them on the pitch.
Rangers can also take inspiration from their play-off win against the same opponents at the same stage of the competition last season.
In other Rangers news, Leon Balogun has sent a three-word message to a Gers teammate after their Scottish League Cup win against Greenock Morton.
