Middlesbrough and Coventry City now join Leeds United in race for Glen Kamara, talks held with Rangers
Middlesbrough and Coventry City have joined Leeds United in the race to sign Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, according to TEAMtalk.
The publication reported on Twitter on Monday (21 August) that the three Championship clubs have held talks with the Gers regarding a deal for the player.
Kamara, who moved to the Ibrox outfit from fellow Scottish club Dundee in 2019, has yet to feature for the Gers this season.
“TEAMtalk understands Leeds United, Coventry and Middlesbrough have held talks with Rangers about a deal for midfielder Glen Kamara,” the publication posted on Twitter.
According to Last Word on Sports (17 July), personal terms have already been agreed between Leeds and the midfielder.

Ibrox exit likely
Kamara has been a superb servant for Rangers since his move from Dundee, with the midfielder enjoying plenty of happy memories during his time at the club.
But that time is seemingly rapidly drawing to a close, as was the case for fellow long-serving players Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos, who both left Ibrox at the end of last season upon the expiry of their contracts.
Kamara still has two years to run on his Gers deal, but it is highly unlikely that he will stay until then, both given his current situation under Michael Beale and the apparent interest in his services.
The 27-year-old has dropped down the pecking order at Ibrox following the arrivals of Jose Cifuentes and Kieran Dowell this summer, with Nicolas Raskin having arrived in January.
And in terms of the interest, Rangers would be foolish to turn it down having lost both Kent and Morelos on free transfers.
In other Rangers news, Leon Balogun has sent a three-word message to a Gers teammate after their Scottish League Cup win against Greenock Morton.
