Danilo sends message to Rangers fans after scoring winner against Greenock Morton
Danilo has sent a message to the Rangers fans after he scored the winner in the Scottish League Cup victory over Greenock Morton on Saturday (19 August).
The forward came off the bench to grab the all-important goal against the Championship side in the 68th minute after Cyriel Dessers’ penalty cancelled out Grant Gillespie’s spot kick in the 2-1 win for the Gers.
The new signing took to Twitter after the game to thank the fans for their “amazing support” at Ibrox, while also sending the message “To keep your balance, you must keep moving”.
Confidence-boosting
This will no doubt be a huge confidence booster for Danilo after he came off the bench to ensure Rangers secured their place in the next round of the competition.
It wasn’t the most convincing result or performance from the Gers, but Michael Beale will have been delighted to see his side come from behind with two new signings grabbing the goals.
He may now look to try and find a way to get both of those players into his starting lineup for the game at home to PSV in the playoff round of Champions League qualification on Tuesday (22 August).

Danilo has come under criticism for some of his early performances in a Rangers shirt, but perhaps this is just what he needed to get his career at Ibrox going.
The fans will be pleased to see him thanking them for their “amazing support” and will be hoping to see him score many more goals during his time in Glasgow.
