Ross McCormack shares ‘perfect’ Glen Kamara admission amid Rangers exit speculation
Ross McCormack has predicted there is a behind-the-scenes issue at Rangers as Glen Kamara looks set to leave Ibrox this summer.
Speaking to The Daily Mail on 16 August, the Gers academy graduate said he thought the Finnish international would be “perfect” for Michael Beale.
But he added that it’s “obviously not working out” for the 27-year-old midfielder, with the Yorkshire Evening Post linking him with a move to Championship side Leeds United on 21 July.

“I thought he’d be perfect for Michael Beale at Rangers but it’s obviously not working out there and he more than deserves the chance to return to England after the service he’s given the club,” said McCormack.
“They bought him for £50,000 from Dundee and if they get a few million it’s a good deal for all parties. It’s definitely worth Leeds taking the chance.”
Likely to happen
It looks pretty likely that Kamara is going to complete a move away from Rangers this summer, whether that’s to Leeds or another club.
He is yet to feature this season and is currently out of Beale’s thinking despite many, including McCormack, thinking he would thrive under the manager.
His game time was massively reduced once the Gers boss arrived last season, having made just 19 league appearances – many of which were from the bench – despite featuring 28 times in the SPFL during the previous campaign.

The Finn was a firm favourite under Steven Gerrard and Giovanni van Bronckhorst, and he played a crucial role in helping the club reach the Europa League final.
It’s a sad way for his time to seemingly be coming to an end at Ibrox, but the club will be turning a huge profit on the midfielder if they manage to sell him for their reported £5million price tag.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have been linked with a player Ferguson described as “incredible”.
