Rangers want to sign Peterborough defender Ronnie Edwards – BBC Sport
Rangers are interested in signing Peterborough United defender Ronnie Edwards, according to BBC Sport.
The broadcaster reported on its live transfer feed on 16 August (11:55am) that the Gers are joined in the hunt for the centre-back by Premier League sides West Ham and Bournemouth.
The highly rated 20-year-old has been tracked by a number of clubs in recent years, with Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson referring to him as an “incredible talent”.

Worth a gamble
This is a deal that’s potentially worth taking a gamble on as the defender is highly thought of at Peterborough United and Michael Beale is on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.
Edwards has already racked up 91 appearances for the Posh despite only being 20 years old, making 44 appearances on the way to helping his side reach the League One playoffs last season.
The centre-back is also attracting the interest of West Ham and Bournemouth, so that shows he is a talent that Premier League clubs have been watching closely and he is likely to move on from London Road before too long.

He played for England at the U-20 World Cup in Argentina and was part of the England U-19 squad that won the European Championship in 2022.
A deal may not be cheap, though, as Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony is known for driving a hard bargain when letting the club’s best players leave and it’s likely to be the case with the defender.
In other Rangers news, BBC pundits were shocked by what Borna Barisic did against Servette.
