Rangers Confirmed XI v Livingston: Connor Goldson misses out

Michael Beale has named his Rangers playing eleven to take on Livingston in the SPFL on Saturday (12 August) as they aim to win the first league game of the season.

Connor Goldson is absent from the matchday squad which sees Leon Balogun starting in central defence alongside John Souttar.

As expected, Jose Cifuentes gets his first league start for the club after joining from LAFC this summer.

Via Twitter, they shared the news.

Win this

Rangers began the season on a disappointing note after what seemed to be a promising summer in the transfer window.

They moved early, gave Beale the targets he desired and everything seemed like it was heading in the right direction.

However, in their first game of the season, things just appeared to fall apart for Rangers and it was embarrassing, to say the least.

They cannot afford to make the same mistakes here and hopefully Beale and the players have learned from their mistakes.

Celtic now already have a lead and these things play a huge role psychologically as well so the three points are crucial here.

The lineup appears to be a strong one and there do seem to be goals in this eleven to win Rangers the game.

In other Rangers news, a senior player has surely played his last game at Ibrox after a development last week.
