Tyler Adams theory shared amid Leeds United hold up in bid for Rangers man Glen Kamara
Leeds United could be waiting to use the money from the sale of Tyler Adams to make an official bid for out-of-favour Rangers man Glen Kamara, according to Stevie Clifford.
As previously reported by the Daily Record (30 July), Michael Beale does not plan to include Kamara this season and has told him to train in isolation until he finds a new club. Consequently, the 27-year-old has been left out of both matchday squads so far this season.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported earlier in the transfer window (21 July) that Leeds United were looking at the midfielder amid the belief that there was a £5million buyout clause in his contract, and Clifford has suggested they could now look to act on this interest.

“I’ve got a theory Derek that I’ve been thinking about. Leeds’ interest in Glen Kamara, Tyler Adams is about to go to Chelsea for the best part of £20-25million, I wonder if when that properly goes through they’ll properly go for Glen Kamara,” he told The Rangers Review (11 August).
“What we’ve heard in the rumblings behind that, there may be terms agreed and they’re just waiting on Leeds making that formal offer to Rangers and taking that on.
“So I wonder if this is hinging a wee bit on them putting Adams out and bringing in Glen Kamara because I know obviously he’s for sale at Rangers.”
Needed
If this is true and is to come to fruition, then this would be a fantastic bit of business for everyone involved. Kamara will be desperate to get a move so he can start playing first-team football again and Beale will be keen to get a player he has no plans of using off the wage bill.
Leeds are in need of reinforcements with an injury crisis striking down multiple members of the first-team squad at Elland Road and Kamara would be a brilliant opportunity for them.

He could act as a direct replacement for Adams, and with the Finnish midfielder still only 27, he has plenty of time to make an impact in West Yorkshire.
For a fee of £5million this could be a bargain for the English club and a huge relief for the Glasgow giants, as well as the player himself.
Clifford’s theory certainly makes a lot of sense.
