Rangers ace Todd Cantwell sends message to Max Aarons after Bournemouth done deal

Rangers ace Todd Cantwell has sent a message to Max Aarons after the defender completed a move to Bournemouth.

As per the official Cherries website (10 August), Aarons has joined the club from Norwich City on a long-term contract.

Cantwell and Aarons spent several years alongside one another at Norwich, as well as playing for the England Under-21s together.

Sharing his joy at his move to Bournemouth, Aarons posted on Instagram: “Delighted to be here! I can’t wait to get started and achieve all of our goals this season. See you on Saturday for the first time Cherries!”

Rangers man Cantwell then shared the post on his own Instagram with the message: “Great club and I’m sure you’ll love it, congratulations and enjoy Cherries fans.”

Well wishes

The well wishes have been flowing in for Aarons following his move to Premier League club Bournemouth, with plenty of excitement surrounding the transfer.

The defender had seemingly been linked with a move away from Carrow Road for quite some time, but it is only now that he has left the Canaries for a new challenge.

He and Cantwell obviously know each other well from their time at the club and with the Young Lions, with Aarons hoping he can now enjoy a similar start to his Cherries career to Cantwell’s start to life at Ibrox.

The midfielder has settled in well in Scotland following his January move, and looks set to play a crucial role under manager Michael Beale this season despite starting the club’s opening Scottish Premiership match against Kilmarnock on the bench.

Bournemouth will certainly have it tough in the Premier League this season, but they have definitely been strengthened with the signature of Aarons.

In other Rangers news, a journalist has mooted a “major sliding-doors moment” for the club’s upcoming Champions League clash against Servette.
