Zeb Jacobs involved as Rangers exit decision to be made on Ross McCausland amid Yorkshire transfer development
Rangers youngster Ross McCausland is garnering interest from Belgian, Scottish and English sides as academy director Zeb Jacobs considers the best pathway for the Northern Ireland youth player, according to the Daily Record.
The Scottish newspaper reported (7 August, 16:40) that the 20-year-old has a number of options for a loan move, with several Belgian second-tier sides expressing their interest while EFL sides Forest Green Rovers and Harrogate, in Yorkshire, are also monitoring his situation.
Rangers are keen on the youngster to develop, get regular minutes and gain first-team exposure, with Jacobs considering the decision on McCausland’s future.

Needed
While McCausland looks to be a very promising prospect at Ibrox, a loan move would suit him perfectly this season.
With plenty of new attacking addition coming to Glasgow this summer, including Danilo, Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers, the 20-year-old was unlikely to earn any substantial minutes for Michael Beale’s side.
However, the youngster is showing a lot of promise in the Rangers youth ranks having scored 10 goals in all competitions for the Gers’ youth set-up.
He has already made his senior debut for the club, so first-team action is not a million miles away. But, for now, a loan feels ideal for him to show off his skill set. A move to a lower-division side would also go a long way in guaranteeing him game time.
He is blessed with pace which allows him to beat opposition offside traps and beat his defensive opponent. His finishing is strong too allowing him to score from different areas, while his excellent delivery into the box earns him plenty of assists.
While Rangers would no doubt want him to be able to perform at a higher level, getting the actual minutes into his legs and the experience will do so much for his development.
