Kenny Miller shares new Scottish Premiership title prediction after Rangers loss v Kilmarnock
BBC pundit Kenny Miller still believes the Scottish Premiership title race between Rangers and Celtic will be “really tight.”
The former Gers striker shared the prediction due to Michael Beale’s “really strong” domestic record against the Bhoys.
Rangers kicked off their new league season with a 1-0 loss to Kilmarnock on Saturday (5 August), with Celtic defeating Ross County 4-2 on the same day.

“Celtic won a Treble last year and Rangers fans want to see their team respond,” Miller told Sky Sports, as quoted by the Daily Record. “They want to see them challenging for the league and for the trophies.
“I still think it will be super tight. When you look at Michael’s record since he’s come into the club, it’s been really strong domestically. He’s gone toe-to-toe with Celtic over his time as the Rangers manager.
“It’s just not the perfect start and this Celtic team don’t drop a lot of points. Even three points back my eyes draw towards September 3 and how big a game that’s going to be here at Ibrox for the first Old Firm game of the season.”

Hugely disappointing start
There had been so much excitement at Ibrox this summer, with manager Beale making serious moves in the transfer window after last season’s struggles.
A total of nine new players have been brought in, but that still wasn’t enough to get past Kilmarnock on Saturday.
Celtic really dominated proceedings in Scotland last time out, and Rangers are in real danger of letting the same thing happen this season.
Only one game has been played, but the margins of winning and losing are not huge in Scottish football, and there may be some out there who believe that Celtic already have one hand on the trophy.
It is, of course, too soon to make such a claim, but Beale certainly has a lot of hard work ahead of him to motivate his players to put their mistake right straight away.
That has been made more difficult given how the Gers must also focus on Europe, with their Champions League third qualifying round first leg clash against Servette taking place on Wednesday (9 August).
In other Rangers news, Champions League qualification is a must for the Gers as a 95% Old Firm statistic is revealed.
