Leeds United target Glen Kamara surely played last game for Rangers after Champions League development

Leeds United target Glen Kamara has perhaps played his final game for Rangers at Ibrox after he was left out of the Champions League squad.

Gers announced their squad for the qualifiers on Friday (4 August) and there was no sign of the Finland international in it.

According to TEAMtalk (4 August), Leeds and Southampton have both maintained an interest in securing the services of the 27-year-old this summer.

This is a good sign as any from Michael Beale and the club that they do not want Kamara for next season and will be happy to let go of him.

There certainly will be a few regrets that Gers did not cash in on him a few years ago when there were big clubs lurking and now his valuation has dropped significantly.

They can still expect to get a few millions but the interest is no longer from the Premier League but from clubs in the second tier of England.

It remains to be seen if Leeds do end up signing him as they’ve looked to be among the frontrunners all summer.

However, they’ve signed Ethan Ampadu from Chelsea and perhaps will buy another midfielder if one of their first-team players leaves.

Regardless, Gers can expect a decent amount of money from them as they’ve got new owners and will receive parachute payments after being relegated from the Premier League as well.

In other Rangers news, the club are now battling an English side for the services of an Arsenal player set to leave this summer.
