Michael Beale forced into Champions League decision at Rangers after transfer news
Rangers boss Michael Beale will be forced to omit players from his 25-man Champions League squad for the qualifiers against Servette, according to Mail+.
The news outlet revealed on 3 August that, following the imminent arrival of Jose Cifuentes from LAFC, Beale would have to leave certain names out of the squad for the game against Servette, as his squad is too large for everybody to be included.
With Cifuentes set to be the ninth new arrival, attention will quickly change to outgoings with Fashion Sakala and Glen Kamara two names set to leave.

A tricky situation
Beale will no doubt already have an idea of which players will be emitted from his first Champions League squad this season, as the club will look to move players on before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
However, in the short term, these decisions could cause issues with disgruntled players missing out on the opportunity to represent Rangers in the Champions League.
Beale’s squad-building ability was called into question weeks ago when Daily Record journalist Keith Jackson [24 July] shared his concerns surrounding the number of incoming players at Ibrox when contrasting with a lack of departing players, with pre-season performances causing further issues.

Players such as Sakala and Scott Wright could be left out of the squad, as both players have been heavily linked with moves away from the club to Saudi Arabia and Turkey respectively. Kamara has been training on his own as he continues to negotiate a move away from Glasgow, so also will not be included.
With Cifuentes’ arrival as Rangers’ ninth summer signing, players will have to be moved on, or face long spells on the sidelines while others play their part.
In other Rangers news, the club are looking to sign a new defender after Jonathan Panzo red tape emerges.
