Fashion Sakala now in talks over Rangers exit as Glen Kamara trains alone
Fashion Sakala is holding talks with Saudi Arabian club Al Fayha and Glen Kamara is training alone as Michael Beale looks to trim his Rangers squad, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper wrote on Thursday (3 August, page 69) that the imminent arrival of Jose Cifuentes from LAFC means manager Beale will have to leave some players out of a 25-man squad to face Servette of Switzerland in their Champions League qualifier.
Forward Sakala, 26, looks a likely omission as he closes in on a switch to the Saudi Pro League, while 27-year-old midfielder Kamara – who has been linked with Leeds United this summer – is being sidelined from Beale’s squad.

Beale has already made eight signings this summer, with Danilo, Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers, Abdallah Sima, Kieran Dowell, Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling and Leon Balogun all arriving.
Cifuentes, who will become signing number nine, could be announced before Rangers’ Scottish Premiership opener against Kilmarnock on Saturday (5 August), the Record reports.
Change of focus
Rangers have been going heavy on incomings ever since last season ended, with Beale having to find a way to close a seven-point gap to champions Celtic last season.
There is plenty of reason to be optimistic for Gers fans heading into the new campaign, with fresh faces arriving to try and bridge the chasm and Beale will hope his new players can hit the ground running.
It makes sense, though, that after doing so much work to bring new players in that the obvious consequence of that is that players will now have to leave to try and recoup some of the money spent but also to balance the squad.

Sakala is drawing interest from Saudi Arabia, where big money is being thrown at players from European clubs to try and boost the profile of the Saudi Pro League, so it seems inevitable he will depart.
Kamara too looks like a player whose time at Ibrox has come to an obvious end, particularly given Cifuentes’ imminent arrival. The focus is certainly now shifting.
In other Rangers move, another player has seen his Ibrox exit completely break down.
