Rangers entitled to training compensation as Robbie Ure transfer news emerges
Rangers will be entitled to training competition when former player Robbie Ure joins a new club, with the 19-year-old currently on trial at Kilmarnock, according to the Daily Record.
The Scottish newspaper reported on its website on Monday (31 July) that the Gers are entitled to such compensation following their contract extension proposal to the player.
That proposal was rejected by the Rangers academy graduate, who made three senior appearances for the Ibrox club before leaving this summer.

“He netted on his debut last August as he helped the Light Blues to a 3-1 League Cup win against Queen of the South,” according to the Daily Record. “He also got two brief run outs off the bench – first against St Mirren last November in what proved to be Gio van Bronckhorst’s final game in charge before also making a late cameo at Easter Road on the final day of the season.
“But it was his lack of game time that has prompted Ure to look elsewhere despite being offered a new deal by Rangers.
“As Gers chiefs matched the existing terms the academy graduate was on last season when they put an extension proposal on the table, they will now be entitled to training compensation when Ure signs for his next club.”

Welcome boost
The latest development regarding Ure is a welcome boost to the powers that be at Rangers, who were seemingly keen to keep hold of the youngster for another season.
And that is not surprising at all given how the 19-year-old forward banged in 23 goals in all competitions last season, the majority of which came for Rangers B.
However, the teenager clearly had other ideas, and is now on the lookout for his next challenge after several years at Ibrox.
He undoubtedly has a bright future in the game, and will no doubt be coming up against his former club in the years to come.
Gers boss Michael Beale has already brought the likes of forwards Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers, Danilo and Abdallah Sima to Ibrox this summer.
He also has Fashion Sakala and Kemar Roofe at his disposal, meaning first-team minutes would have been very hard to come by for Ure next season.
In other Rangers news, Kemar Roofe has sent a five-word message after one new signing made his Gers debut against Hoffenheim on Saturday (29 July).
