Scott Wright set to finalise Rangers exit for £500,000 fee
Scott Wright is set to finalise his move to Turkish side Pendikspor with Rangers set to gain a £500,000 fee, according to The Scotsman.
The outlet reported (29 July) that the 25-year-old had held talks with the Super Lig side last week before returning to Glasgow. Now, the forward is back in Turkey with his representatives to finalise the deal.
Wright is one of many exit-linked Rangers players as Michael Beale sets out to rebuild his squad ahead of the new Scottish Premiership season.

It’s time
Rangers look to be revamping their whole squad this summer, with the likes of Danilo and Cyriel Dessers among the eight new signings at Ibrox.
Wright has found himself surplus to requirements under Beale and has slowly been pushed down the pecking order. His departure felt inevitable and now it nears completion.
While the Scotsman did make 23 appearances in the league for Rangers, he only started two games and never looked likely to break into the starting 11.
The former Aberdeen man came to Ibrox in 2021 for £175,000 [BBC Sport], so Rangers look to make a neat profit from this deal.
At just 25, Wright should be seeking regular game time, not a bench role at Rangers. A move to the Turkish top flight could be a shrewd move and Wright will hope he can keep Pendikspor in the Super Lig after their promotion last season.
The half a million that Rangers will gain is not sizeable but would help their finances slightly after a very productive transfer window.

Wright would hope to improve his goalscoring rate also, having managed just five league goals across three seasons at Ibrox. His lack of goal threat could be one of the reasons Beale has let him depart.
This is a move that suits all, and Rangers fans will wish Wright well on his new journey.
In other Rangers news, Liverpool star Cody Gakpo sent a message to Ibrox’s latest attacking addition.
