Rangers transfer verdict shared at Ibrox with jury still out already
The jury still remains out on Rangers boss Michael Beale’s transfer business this summer with Daily Record journalist Gordon Parks questioning whether the Ibrox boss is a “bluffer.”
Discussing this summer’s transfer business in their print newspaper [29 July, pg 53], Parks was not 100% convinced by the names coming in so far.
Some stuttering pre-season results and the usual scepticism that comes in tandem with a squad overhaul has seen some ask whether Beale will be able to find a coherent and competitive style of play from his squad this season.

Offering his opinion on the new signings at Ibrox, Parks wrote: “It’s too early to say how the new recruits will settle in but Beale has so much to prove.
“Is he a bluffer or the real deal? The jury remains out.”
Give him a chance
Now we all know that the manager’s seat at Ibrox is a hot one, with the pressure cooker around it’s incumbent never really ceasing unless can overthrow Celtic and lift the Scottish Premiership.
That is no different this season and there is no doubt that Rangers’ activity in this summer’s window will have put a target on their back for some people, the assumption being if they’ve spent that much money, they have to win something.
However, football is never that simple and Beale will know that. He, however, has earned the time to show that he is capable of inflicting positive change at Ibrox and it seems very strange that some are already questioning his ability weeks before a ball has been kicked.

Last season showed his ability to integrate new signings into a team quickly, with Todd Cantwell seriously impressing after his move from Norwich City in January and both Beale and the fans will be hoping the same is true of the new recruits.
No matter what happens, until Beale gets his hands on that trophy, there will remain doubts from some over whether he is “the real deal.”
Beating Celtic to the title next season in the second coming of Brendan Rodgers would be very special, and it would likely shut a lot of people up who can’t help but open their mouths.
Bring it on.
