Michael Beale wants Alex Lowry to leave Rangers on loan, English clubs interested
Michael Beale wants Alex Lowry to leave Rangers on loan this summer amid interest from Tranmere and Northampton, according to Football Scotland.
Writing on their official website (29 July), the Scottish news outlet report that the League One and League Two club are interested in signing the young playmaker on a temporary basis this summer.
And after making eight signings so far this summer, including several in the attacking areas, Beale is said to want Lowry to leave Ibrox to play regularly elsewhere in the upcoming season.

“Another player who could soon be leaving Rangers is Alex Lowry, albeit on loan,” they wrote.
“The talented midfielder, 20, is on the radar of several clubs down south, League One Northampton Town keen on a deal.
“Lowry has also been linked with a move to League Two Tranmere Rovers and it’s believed Beale is keen for the youngster to spend the campaign elsewhere in order to gain valuable first-team experience.”
Finally
Lowry has arguably wasted the last two seasons by sticking around at Rangers and playing only a handful of minutes.
Granted last season was affected by injuries, but Lowry hasn’t played anywhere near regularly enough considering the talent he has and there’s no doubting that his development has stagnated because of it.

Ideally he’d play regularly at Rangers, but right now the competition for places is too high for him to get into the side consistently and a loan move makes the most sense for everyone involved.
Should a loan move happen he will return to the club with one year remaining on his contract and then it will be decision time about whether to integrate him into the first-team or let him go and blossom elsewhere.
But we’d be doing him a disservice by not letting him play this year and those clubs give him a great opportunity to play regularly and shine.
