Rangers ace Leon Balogun sends five-word message to Calvin Bassey after Fulham done deal
Rangers defender Leon Balogun has sent a five-word message to Calvin Bassey after the latter completed a move to Fulham.
As per the official Fulham website, Bassey has agreed a contract with the West London club until the summer of 2027.
And among the people sending messages of congratulations to Bassey was Balogun, with the duo having played together at Ibrox, as well as being Nigeria teammates.

“Joining the journey…” Bassey posted on Instagram following his announcement as a new Fulham player.
His former Gers teammate Balogun commented: “Come ooooon!!! Congrats lil broski.”

Good friends
Bassey and Balogun certainly know each other well, with the defensive duo both playing for Rangers between 2020 and 2022, with the latter now back at the club.
Balogun no doubt played a key role in Bassey’s time at Ibrox, acting as an ideal role model as the pair helped Rangers lift the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup, as well as finishing as runners-up in the 2021/22 Europa League.
They are, of course, international teammates too, both playing central roles for Nigeria in recent years.
After a brief spell at Ajax, Bassey is now back in the UK, and will be keen to hit the ground running immediately at Fulham.
And he won’t be too far away from Balogun, who has made a return to Scottish giants Rangers after spending a season at QPR.
The period the pair spent at Ibrox will live long in their memories and indeed in the memories of supporters, with Michael Beale desperate to repeat their silverware heroics next season.
In other Rangers news, one highly-rated player is heading for an Ibrox loan exit amid interest from England.
