Michael Beale tells Rangers players to hedge bets as four enquiries made at Ibrox
Michael Beale has told some of his Rangers players they will have to “hedge their bets” in the summer transfer window.
The Gers manager added that enquiries have been made about three or four of his current squad ahead of the new season.
Beale has made seven new signings this summer, with that number potentially rising to nine through the signatures of Danilo and Jose Cifuentes.

“There have been enquiries about three or four players,” said Beale, as quoted by the Daily Record. “Next week we have to name a European squad for the first two games and some players won’t make that. It’s been like that every season here.
“As we get closer to it and I’m not using everybody, you’ll find that one or two probably want guarantees of playing and I’m probably not willing to give that and they’ll have to hedge their bets one way or another.”

Who could go?
Rangers have been very busy this summer, with Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling, Leon Balogun, Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers and Abdallah Sima all arriving at Ibrox.
They could soon be joined by midfielder Cifuentes and striker Danilo as Beale really shakes things up at the Glasgow club.
It was, perhaps, expected this summer, given how last season had gone for Rangers and indeed how they lost five players at the end of the campaign upon the expiry of their contracts.
But who could join the likes of Allan McGregor, Filip Helander, Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos in making an exit?
Scott Wright seems destined to move on this summer, with Glen Kamara also potentially heading for the exit door.
There could also be transfers for a handful of Rangers youngsters, but they are likely to leave on a temporary basis as opposed to permanently, with midfielder Alex Lowry potentially among that group.
In other Rangers news, one journalist has predicted a “fantastic” returning player to have the same impact as Beale’s new signings.
