Michael Beale shares Connor Goldson news in Rangers injury update
Rangers defender Connor Goldson will return to training next Thursday (3 August), according to manager Michael Beale.
The Gers boss noted that fellow defenders Dujon Sterling and Leon King will return on Friday (28 July) and Monday (31 July) respectively.
Beale also discussed the timelines for Tom Lawrence or Kemar Roofe, with both players “not risked” in the pre-season loss to Olympiacos on Wednesday (26 July).

“We’ve not risked Tom Lawrence or Kemar Roofe,” said Beale, as quoted by the Daily Record. “They got some minutes the other day and we want them to get a strong week of training in their legs rather than stopping for the game and they’ll be available in Hoffenheim.
“Dujon Sterling will return to training on Friday, Leon King on Monday and Connor Goldson next Thursday, so we are getting there.”

Very positive updates
The updates from Gers boss Beale regarding the five players are very positive, with all five set to play a key role for the club next season.
It was a sensible decision to rest both Lawrence and Roofe for the clash with Olympiacos, with the duo needing a bit more time on the training ground to fully recover from their long-term injuries.
The impending returns of trio Sterling, King and Goldson, in particular, represent superb news for Beale, especially after defensive issues arose against the Greek club at Ibrox, with the hosts losing 3-1.
It will be a great time to welcome the likes of Goldson back, with Rangers getting ready for the return of the Scottish Premiership and, perhaps more importantly, the Champions League qualification stages.
The Scottish giants will be up against it in Europe’s premier competition, and so Beale will need all his players on top form.
