Michael Beale now set to seal defining Rangers transfer in Danilo amid new Feyenoord development
Michael Beale now looks set to seal his defining transfer at Rangers this summer following the news that Danilo has already said goodbye to his Feyenoord teammates and club staff.
According to a report by Dutch outlet 1908 (26 July) the Brazil striker won’t train with the Feyenoord first-team anymore after they accepted Rangers’ latest offer of around £5.1m.
The uniquely gifted forward is now set to jet into the UK over the coming days to undergo a medical before his transfer is officially confirmed, with Beale finally landing his top striker target.

“Danilo Pereira da Silva has said goodbye to his teammates at Feyenoord. The Brazilian striker faces a million-dollar transfer to Rangers FC,” 1908 wrote.
The Daily Record reported on 24 July that Feyenoord decided to accept a final ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ offer from Rangers for Danilo worth around £6m after they agreed to a deal worth €7m (£6m) to land Netherlands international Calvin Stengs from French club Nice.
It is believed that in a dramatic twist, chief executive James Bisgrove returned to the table on Sunday (23 July) with one last bumper offer which appears to have triggered Feyenoord’s eleventh-hour move for Stengs.
Danilo will now join up with the likes of new additions Abdallah Sima, Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers in an exciting new attacking weaponry that could well mean Rangers not only challenge Celtic in a full-scale title race but potentially topple them.

And the Brazilian could prove the defining ingredient in Beale’s team to ensure they fulfil those lofty ambitions.
The 24-year-old notched ten league goals and but his qualities in the attacking sense transcend his goalscoring and are quite clear, recording three assists, averaging 0.2 assists per 90 in the past year, placing him in the 87th percentile, when compared to his positional peers in Europe’s top-eight leagues.
The Brazilian is also tremendously creative and efficient out of possession, as evidenced by his ranking in the top 18% of forwards across the continent for shot-creating actions per 90, and ranking in the 97th percentile for interceptions highlighting that he isn’t only influential when scoring and creating but also defending from the front.

Rangers will now be more potent, creative and efficient in front of goal next term and that’s a welcome fact considering the brilliant football they played towards the end of last season.
Old Firm rivals Celtic should be very afraid of the business the Gers are getting done right now and Danilo is certainly the icing on the cake.
