Discount claim emerges as Rangers set to sign Los Angeles FC midfielder Jose Cifuentes
Rangers will be securing the services of Los Angeles FC midfielder Jose Cifuentes at a discounted fee this summer, according to the Fourth Official.
The reliable Ibrox news source claims [26 July] that he will be available for only six figures which is lower than the numbers previously mentioned.
Daily Record reported on 8 July that the MLS outfit wanted £1.2million in order to part ways with the Ecuador international, 24.

T4O wrote on Patreon, “Danilo and Jose Cifuentes will probably be announced by Rangers in the next few days.
“Regarding Jose Cifuentes, the fee is going to be just below £1m from what I understand.
“Cifuentes is going to fly to the UK very soon and hopefully both players will be unveiled very soon.”
Good move
Cifuentes was initially costing seven figures but the club have managed to bring it down to a very acceptable fee.
The 24-year-old is undoubtedly going to be a stellar signing and will strengthen the playing eleven for Michael Beale’s side.
He will follow Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers, Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, Jack Butland, Leon Balogun and Abdallah Sima through the door.

There was a pre-contract agreement that would’ve seen him moving on a free transfer at the end of the year.
However, everyone at the club looked keen to make the deal happen right away.
This undoubtedly means that it will require a nominal transfer fee and this does seem to be a very good bit of business.
Hopefully, it’s announced soon along with Danilo and that could very well and their business this summer.
In other Rangers news, the club are now battling an English side for the services of an Arsenal player set to leave this summer.
