Danilo says goodbye to Feyenoord teammates and won’t train, prepares for Rangers medical amid £5m+ transfer
Danilo has said goodbye to his Feyenoord teammates as he prepares to jet into the UK for a Rangers medical, according to a report by 1908.
Writing on their website (26 July), the Dutch news outlet report that the Brazil striker won’t train with the Feyenoord first-team anymore after they accepted Rangers’ latest offer of around £5.1m.
The player is set to jet into the UK over the coming days to undergo a medical before his transfer is officially confirmed, with Michael Beale finally landing his man up front.

“Danilo Pereira da Silva has said goodbye to his teammates at Feyenoord. The Brazilian striker faces a million-dollar transfer to Rangers FC,” they wrote.
“He will no longer train with the selection of the team from Rotterdam on Wednesday, who reportedly receive around six million euros (£5.1m) for his services.”
Excellent
Danilo’s participation in pre-season for Feyenoord this summer has left some Rangers fans worried that they may end up without him if he picked up a knock.
But with a deal now agreed for the 14-goal hitman, those worries can be thrown out as he won’t be training anymore until he’s wearing the blue shirt of the famous Gers.

Beale has been backed brilliantly in this window and the board at Ibrox deserves plenty of praise for how they’ve gone about their business this summer, because they often get criticised when things don’t go to plan.
The chances of him coming in before Saturday’s friendly with Hoffenheim is slim, but he will be in the squad barring any hiccups when the club line up against Kilmarnock for the first game of the season.
Rangers are much stronger than they were last season, now they must deliver on the pitch and hit the ground running to pile the pressure on Celtic.
