Rangers transfer news as everything ready to sign for Jose Cifuentes deal
Everything is ready to sign for Jose Cifuentes ahead of his move to Rangers this summer after the club opted to push ahead with the move, according to Teradeportes.
The Ecuadorian news outlet shared via their Twitter account on 25 July that Cifuentes’ move to Ibrox in this transfer window will now go ahead, as Rangers pay the clause to sign him rather than waiting until January when he had a contract agreed.
Cifuentes’ contract at LAFC runs out in January 2024, which would have allowed the Glasgow giants to bring him to the club on a free transfer, but Michael Beale has decided to bring him in now for preparations ahead of the new season.
The club continue to push
Rangers are pushing ahead once again in the transfer market as they look to be proactive with completing deals to strengthen the squad, which Beale is looking to mould into his own ahead of the new Scottish Premiership season.
The news of a deal for Cifuentes being ready to sign comes shortly following reports that key striker target Danilo will also arrive at Ibrox in the near future after Rangers agreed a fee with Feyenoord for his transfer.
Bringing in these players while pre-season is still in its early stages will be key as Beale looks to integrate his new signings into the club and his style of play before the season begins.

Cifuentes has been a major target for Rangers this summer as they look to strengthen in the midfield after the departure of Scott Arfield, with Glen Kamara also expected to leave the club in this transfer window.
The Ecuadorian midfielder will provide something different in the middle of the park for Rangers, as he is in the top 90% compared to other midfielders in the MLS for progressive passes, progressive carries, successful take-ons, touches in the attacking penalty area, shot-creating actions, and total shots [Stats from FBref.com].
In other Rangers news, a key striker target is now in the starting blocks to board a flight to Glasgow.
