Rangers set for new financial windfall this week amid Bayern Munich Malik Tillman pre-season snub
Rangers have been smart with their signings this summer, with the likes of Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling and Kieran Dowell all arriving on free transfers.
That has allowed whatever funds are available to be spent on other players as manager Michael Beale bolsters his squad for the new campaign.
And the Gers now look set to have extra funds available given the latest development involving former loanee Malik Tillman.

As per the Daily Record (17 July), the Ibrox club are set to receive compensation and a sell-on clause should the American leave Bayern this summer.
And that sell-on clause could now be handed to Rangers in the coming days, with Sport1 journalist Kerry Hau reporting on Twitter (24 July) that Tillman’s Bayern Munich exit is set to take place this week.
The attacker, who Hau notes has three options in the Bundesliga and two abroad, has been left out of his club’s pre-season tour of Asia.
It’s a blow to the player in terms of his Bayern career, but a boost in terms of a fresh start elsewhere, with minutes at the Allianz Arena very unlikely given the talent available to the German giants.
And it’s also a boost to Rangers, who should benefit from his exit financially, even if they are still disappointed at not being able to land him on a permanent deal themselves.
Gers boss Beale was seemingly keen on securing Tillman’s services on a permanent basis following his successful loan spell at Ibrox last season, but the man in the dugout will now have to settle for the next best thing.
In other Rangers news, Barry Ferguson has predicted a bright future for one Gers ace amid a “damaged goods” verdict.
