The start of the new SPFL season is only a few weeks away and so far this summer has gone almost perfectly to plan for Rangers and Michael Beale.

Several names have been moved on, while the overhaul has largely completed with the manager getting the vast majority of his first-choice targets through the door before the pre-season was even underway.

The club have moved quickly and decisively in the market and now with Cifuentes set to join, another key area of the pitch has been addressed for the new season.

He is already fit and ready to go as he has been playing for his national team and LA FC throughout the summer, so it will just be about getting him up to speed with the way the manager wants to play and how he wants to use the player.

It’s an exciting time to be a Rangers fan as the club have delivered on their promises up to this point, so now they need to perform on the pitch.

In other Rangers news, one starlet was dropped to the B-team as his Ibrox future hangs in the balance.
