Rangers transfer news as Danilo bid accepted after ‘Dramatic’ twists
Rangers have now had a bid of around £6m accepted by Dutch outfit Feyenoord for striker Danilo, according to the Daily Record.
According to the report (24 July), Feyenoord decided to accept a final ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ offer from Rangers for Danilo worth around £6m after they agreed to a deal worth €7m (£6m) to land Netherlands international Calvin Stengs from French club Nice.
It is believed that in a dramatic twist, chief executive James Bisgrove returned to the table on Sunday (23 July) with one last bumper offer which appears to have triggered Feyenoord’s eleventh-hour move for Stengs.

The 24-year-old Brazilian will be given permission to travel to Scotland to put pen to paper on a deal to become Michael Beale’s eighth summer capture, according to the report.
We have a lift-off!
Finally! We have lift-off in this drawn-out saga and Rangers will be incredibly pleased to get this long-awaited Danilo move over the line to provide Beale with his cream-of-the-crop attacking addition.
The Brazilian will now join up with the likes of Abdallah Sima, Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers in an exciting new attacking weaponry that could well mean Rangers not only challenge Celtic in a full-scale title race but potentially topple them.

Danilo possesses all the hallmarks and qualities to be the decisive secret ingredient for Beale and his performances and stats from last season back up that belief.
The 24-year-old notched ten league goals and but his qualities in the attacking sense transcend his goalscoring and are quite clear, recording three assists, averaging 0.2 assists per 90 in the past year, placing him in the 87th percentile, when compared to his positional peers in Europe’s top-eight leagues.
The Brazilian is also tremendously creative and efficient out of possession, as evidenced by his ranking in the top 18% of forwards across the continent for shot-creating actions per 90, and ranking in the 97th percentile for interceptions highlighting that he isn’t only influential when scoring and creating but also defending from the front.
Rangers will now be more potent, creative and exciting under Beale’s stewardship next term and that’s a welcome fact considering the brilliant football they played towards the end of last season.
Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent are now a distant memory at Ibrox.
