Fenerbahce to make move for Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz on one condition
Fenerbahce are keen on bringing Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz and a condition has emerged for them to make a move, per Fotospor.
The Turkish media outlet [24 July] reports that they are expected to make a move once the issue with Sassuolo defender Mert Mulder is clarified.
The 24-year-old is a right-back by trade but can also play as a left-back and is understood to be ahead of Yilmaz on Fenerbahce’s wishlist.

Keep him
Gers signed Yilmaz for £3.4million in July 2022, per Sky Sports, but did not enjoy the best of starts to life at Ibrox in his first season.
He wasn’t expected to suddenly be a first choice but did not perform well enough to make a case to start over Borna Barisic every week.
That said, he did get a lot better towards the end of the season and Gers cannot afford to lose him this summer.

Barisic may have been nominated for Player of the Season but his performance certainly wasn’t good enough and if Yilmaz keeps improving, he’ll replace him in the playing eleven in no time.
Rangers need to keep the faith in the Turk and if that means giving him assurances over playing time, then so be it, for next season.
Michael Beale has said nice things about the 22-year-old last term so it’s clear that he rates his abilities and hopefully, he is a lot better in the coming 12 months.
In other Rangers news, the club are now battling an English side for the services of an Arsenal player set to leave this summer.
