Rotterdam plan revolt if Rangers can pull off Danilo transfer coup

Rangers signing Feyenoord forward Danilo would be a “major coup” this summer if they can get a deal over the line, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper has reported on its website that the city of Rotterdam is planning a revolt should the Brazilian leave, which is now looking more likely.

It is suggested that Feyenoord have identified their possible replacement, with Sydney van Hooijdonk from Bologna on their radar already for Arne Slot.

Rangers

Rangers have already had numerous bids rejected for the Brazilian striker, but it is said that talks will continue to try and find an outcome that pleases all parties.

Danilo has made it clear that he wants to make the move to Ibrox this summer, and the Bears have given themselves plenty of time to make it happen with numerous deals already done.

Rangers

Get it done.

Michael Beale and Rangers will not care what is happening in Rotterdam, especially if they get one of their main targets across the line in the coming weeks.

With a potential replacement now found, that door has opened ever so slightly more as the club looks to take advantage and get everything agreed upon.

Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers have both made positive starts in pre-season far, but another spearhead in that attack will make it frightening for opposition teams.

Add into the mix the likes of Abdallah Sima, Tom Lawrence, Fashion Sakala and Todd Cantwell, and the likes of Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos will be long forgotten already.

John Bennett and James Bisgrove will be looking to get this one ironed out as soon as possible, leaving potentially only Jose Cifuentes to come in before the squad is complete.

What a window this has been, it looks like it could get even better.
