Rangers transfer update emerges as bid made for Feyenoord striker Danilo
Rangers believe that they are close to signing Feyenoord striker Danilo this summer, according to a post shared by the Fourth Official.
Via Patreon, the reliable Ibrox source reported [21 July] that apart from Jose Cifuentes, they’re also confident on a deal for the Brazilian striker.
It’s understood that a bid is already in for the 24-year-old Brazilian striker and he may cost £6.5million-£7million.

T4O wrote, “Rangers have made a new bid for Danilo as broken first by Dutch sources. Rangers believe they are close to landing their man but the Dutch club might hold on for at least £6.5-7m. But there is definite progress in the right direction from all parties concerned. What’s helping is that Danilo wants to join Rangers and that’s definitely a factor.”
Seal the deal
The Danilo deal looks to be like the club’s biggest acquisition of the summer and they’re now looking to finalise that deal.
They’ve signed Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers along with Abdallah Sima but he seems to be the main man for the job.
If they are spending that kind of money, there is a feeling that Michael Beale will be expecting Alfredo Morelos esque numbers from him.

The Colombian was a reliable talisman for Rangers and replicating his exploits is not going to be easy for anyone.
Danilo has proven he’s capable of doing it at Feyenoord and could do the same thing should he join Rangers.
There seem to be a few things that need working on but there is a feeling of this one getting over the line eventually.
In other Rangers news, the club are now battling an English side for the services of an Arsenal player set to leave this summer.
