Jose Cifuentes to Rangers update emerges post Michael Beale comments
LAFC midfielder Jose Cifuentes is now very close to joining Rangers this summer, according to a report by the Fourth Official.
The trusted Ibrox source shared via Patreon [21 July] that after Michael Beale confirmed an agreement to sign the Ecuador international once his deal ends at the end of the year, the club are actually close to signing him right away.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the club for the past few months and it looks like it’s finally coming to an end.

T4O wrote, “I have been told by a couple of sources that an agreement between Rangers and LAFC is imminent (but not officially done as of Friday morning as reported by some other sources), so I fully expect the midfielder to be joining Rangers very soon.”
Good news
Rangers need a quality midfielder in right now and not in January when half the season will be over.
Cifuentes is a player who walks into the playing XI and gives Gers an even better chance of winning the title.
He’s industrious, technical and will add a bit of bite to this midfield and give it a more balanced look.

It seems like Todd Cantwell, Nicolas Raskin and Cifuentes are likely to be the first-choice midfield trio for the upcoming season.
Cifuentes certainly gives Beale’s side a better chance of being the favourites for the league title and it seems like once Danilo is done, Gers may not sign anyone else.
They could enter the market if the right centre-back is available but apart from that, they do seem pretty sorted.
In other Rangers news, the club are now battling an English side for the services of an Arsenal player set to leave this summer.
