Scott Wright exit decision now due as Rangers player jets out for transfer
Rangers winger Scott Wright looks set for a move to Turkish side Pendikspor for £500,000 as the Scotsman seeks regular game time, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported (page 69, 20 July) that Wright is assessing his situation following a conversation with manager Michael Beale in which they mutually agreed it was time for the 25-year-old to move on.
Following 34 appearances for the Gers in all competitions last season, Wright is yet to put pen to paper to sign for the newly promoted Süper Lig club but his future looks to be away from Ibrox.

Timely
Ibrox has seen an influx of attacking talent walk through the door this window, including Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers and potentially soon Feyenoord’s Danilo among other forward targets [Daily Record].
With new squad members, and Wright unable to cement a bigger role for the team last season, perhaps his departure is timely.

While he did earn 23 league appearances, this only amounted to 638 minutes of football, showing that the former Aberdeen forward was not an essential element to Rangers’ league success last season.
His influence has never really been felt at Ibrox, and now with the quality of the squad improving, the club seems to have outgrown Wright and a move to Turkey could be the career boost he needs to secure more game time.
Beale himself admitted on Wednesday (19 July) Wright would be unlikely to earn minutes under him next season, claiming the club has had enquiries for him all through the summer and that he’s at an age where he must play regularly [Sky Sports], so the former Scotland youth regular may have plenty of choice about his future.
However, Pendikspor seem to be in pole position and have reportedly taken Wright for dinner and are expected to show him around the club facilities on Thursday (20 July) before he makes his decision [Fraser Fletcher].
However, his Ibrox journey looks to be over as Beale continues to trim his squad ahead of a tough league and European campaign.
