Leeds United stance on signing Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara shared with £4.5m fee mooted
Leeds United will that they can do a deal to sign Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara this summer, according to Graham Smyth.
The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist claims [20 July] that Gers will also be happy to receive a fee between £4.5million and £5million to sign the Finland international.
The 27-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Ibrox and the club are understood to be open to cashing in.
Smyth said on a YEP podcast, “[Glen] Kamara is one they’ve considered, Leeds, and looked at. It feels very doable and it also feels very sensible.
“If you cross Rangers’ palms with £4.5million-£5million I think they’ll tell Glen and Leeds ‘It’s been a pleasure doing business with you’.”
Take their money
Rangers will be more than happy to get that kind of money for a player who’s struggling to walk into their playing eleven.
A case can be made, with everyone being fit, that he may even struggle to make the bench, and to get a £5million fee for that is exceptional.
Rangers lost players like Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos for free when they could’ve commanded huge transfer fees had they still been contracted.

However, poor planning from the hierarchy is what’s led to them being in this situation and they desperately need the money for more new signings.
They’re still hot on the tails of Feyenoord striker Danilo and that’s not a deal that’s going to happen on the cheap.
Once Kamara’s sale is completed, they can perhaps go all out on the Brazilian and whoever else they’re looking at.
In other Rangers news, the club are now battling an English side for the services of an Arsenal defender set to leave this summer.
