Glen Kamara due to return to Rangers training this week amid personal terms agreement with Leeds United claim
Michael Beale says Glen Kamara is due to return to training with Rangers this week despite reports that he agreed personal terms with Leeds for a transfer.
The Finland international was missing from the club’s pre-season trip to Germany and then didn’t feature at Ibrox for Allan McGregor’s testimonial against Newcastle on Tuesday (18 July).
But speaking after the game the manager confirmed there have been enquiries about his availability, but says his absence was due to illness and he is expected back in training this week.

“There have been quite a few enquiries for Glen,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“We gave him an extended break due to his international stuff in the summer and unfortunately he has been ill for the last few days.
“He didn’t come to Germany with us but he’s due to return to training in the coming days. That will be ongoing, the speculation.”
Inevitable
Kamara has been a fantastic servant to Rangers over the years, but it’s quite clear now that his time at Ibrox is coming to an end.
Last season he struggled with fitness and also just wasn’t picked by both Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Michael Beale, and it seems as though the club have already planned for life without him with their summer signings.

A move back to England looks the most likely for the former Arsenal academy man, but until Rangers get an acceptable bid the move is unlikely to happen quickly.
Leeds have seemingly made him a target and agreed terms with him, but there hasn’t been any talk of an official bid being launched from club to club.
So long as Kamara works hard in training he’ll be welcomed back at Ibrox, but it does seem inevitable that this exit will happen sooner rather than later whether it’s to Leeds or somewhere else.
In other Rangers news, Beale has admitted that two more deals could happen sooner rather than later.
