Official Rangers partner delivers radical reshaping verdict as Scott Wright set for transfer

Official Rangers partner Heart and Hand has reacted to the news that Scott Wright is set for an Ibrox exit this summer amid Turkish interest.

They claimed [17 July] that the 25-year-old is off for talks with Turkish side Pendikspor with a £500k transfer fee agreed upon.

Wright will be the seventh first-team player to leave with Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor, Antonio Colak, Filip Helander and Scott Arfield no longer on the club’s books.

Via Twitter, Heart and Hand wrote, “Manager said we were looking at maybe as many as 10 in and same out. It’s definitely a radical reshaping but it badly needed it.”

Makes sense

Wright’s 25 and nearing his prime so if he’s not showing the abilities of being a first-team player for Rangers then it makes sense to let him go.

Michael Beale has given him chances to prove his worth and it’s evident that he’s not performing as well as he wants.

This isn’t the case of a player moving for a step up in his career but Gers cashing out at an opportune moment and getting some decent money from the sale.

Rangers

It’s highly unlikely that Wright suddenly has an exceptional four months and his value skyrockets by the time the window opens again in January.

This deal should go through in no time and an announcement should be made soon as long as he can agree on terms with the Turkish side.

It’s hard to expect more in transfer fees for the 25-year-old and not too many at the club will feel that this is a bad deal.

In other Rangers news, the club are now battling an English side for the services of an Arsenal defender set to leave this summer.
