Pundit hits out over Antonio Colak exit from Rangers as £2.5m deal agreed
Lorenzo Amoruso has warned outgoing Rangers striker Antonio Colak not to be complacent at his new club Parma.
The forward has joined the Serie B club, subject to international clearance, as confirmed by the official Rangers website on Saturday (15 July).
The Croatian joined the Gers from PAOK last summer, scoring 18 goals in 39 appearances in his one and only season in Scotland.
“For Colak, it is the moment of truth,” said Amoruso, as quoted by The Sunday Post (back page, 16 July). “I expected more from him at Rangers.
“Now, going to play in Italy’s Serie B could give him a few more chances to show off but he must be careful, because Parma will certainly aim to get up this season and to do so they need a lot of goals.”

Colak really shouldn’t find it too overwhelming in Serie B next season, with the striker enjoying a superb campaign in Glasgow despite not being a regular starter.
The Croatian clearly wasn’t wanted by Rangers boss Michael Beale, who has instead opted for the likes of Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers, who have recently joined on permanent deals, with Abdallah Sima arriving on a season-long loan.
Not many strikers are able to hit the ground running at Ibrox like Colak did, and his departure will leave plenty of supporters scratching their heads.
The situation will become even worse if the new arrivals do not fire on all cylinders next season, which would leave Beale with plenty of worry about his position in the dugout.
Parma should have their sights set on promotion to Serie A, and the £2.5million capture of Colak (The Scottish Sun, 15 July) is definitely a positive step in that direction.
