Michael Beale faces sack decision at Rangers if Antonio Colak transfer backfires amid statistics reveal
There is absolutely no doubt that a rebuild was needed at Rangers this summer, with manager Michael Beale playing a key role in the ins and outs at Ibrox in recent weeks.
The club said farewell to five players at the end of last season, with Allan McGregor, Filip Helander, Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos all moving on upon the expiry of their contracts.
And the Gers boss has wasted no time in bringing in suitable replacements, with Leon Balogun becoming the club’s seventh signing of the summer when he returned to the club on Wednesday (12 July).

Not long after his signature, the exit of Antonio Colak was confirmed, with the striker leaving to join Serie B club Parma.
Beale’s recruitment will definitely come under the microscope in the early stages of the new season if they do not hit the ground running, with the final third perhaps set to be analysed more than any other area.
And that should be because Beale has just said goodbye to his joint-top goalscorer from last season, with Colak and James Tavernier both netting 18 goals in all competitions, despite the former playing 16 fewer matches.
The Croatian’s efforts are in stark contrast to the three attacking recruits that have been brought to Ibrox this summer.

In worrying news to Rangers supporters, Cryriel Dessers, Abdallah Sima and Sam Lammers hit tallies of 10, six and two respectively last season.
Combined, the trio scored 18 goals in all competitions, with Colak achieving that feat on his own during his only season at Ibrox.
It’s a transfer move that could really backfire for Beale, who will no doubt face a sack decision early on next season if indeed that is the case.
