Rangers transfer update: Michael Beale ‘adores’ Danilo as new multimillion bid tabled with ‘generous’ contract on offer
Rangers have made a new bid to Feyenoord worth “millions” to sign Danilo as Michael Beale “adores the striker enormously”, according to 1908.
The Dutch outlet links the pursuit to the departure from Ibrox of Antonio Colak, after he was spotted in Parma to complete his move to Italy, and the injury history of Kemar Roofe so often ruling him out of contention.
The Light Blues are therefore “concrete” in their pursuit of the Brazilian this summer, for whom they have reportedly put a “generous, multi-year” contract offer on the table.

An original bid was made to the Eredivisie club just as it looked like the pursuit of Cyriel Dessers was fizzling out, but after the Nigerian international’s move to Glasgow was confirmed it has since emerged that the interest is still very much alive, and Danilo himself is already convinced.
It appears that the latest bid is still not quite enough to get a deal over the line, but according to 1908 it is “closer to the market-based price” Feyenoord have put on the forward.
Ambitious
Since Colak was clearly not in Beale’s plans it makes sense for him to move on, but to lose the Croatian and Alfredo Morelos in one window is to let plenty of goals leave.
While Dessers has been signed on top of Sam Lammers and Abdallah Sima it would certainly top off the attacking element of the summer rebuild to see Danilo added on top.
His past three seasons have each been with different clubs in the Netherlands but his scoring record in all competitions has remained attractive.

He netted 14 for Feyenoord last term, after 15 for Ajax a year earlier, and 17, all in the league, for FC Twente in the campaign prior to that.
It looks like Beale is pretty convinced that he is the player to really boost the overhaul of his forward options this summer, and what originally appeared to be a speculative approach is looking far more serious now.
Rangers appear to be getting close to the financial tipping point that will convince Feyenoord to accept, and the cash brought in for Colak is possibly what the manager needs to get it over the line.
