Rangers attacker Ross McCausland transfer update emerges as two English clubs in battle to sign him

Rangers attacker Ross McCausland took his chance to impress the Forest Green and Harrowgate scouts, according to the Daily Record.

The Spanish media outlet, in their transfer blog [17:26, 15 July], claim that the English League Two sides watched him on Saturday, 15 July.

The 20-year-old could be leaving on a loan move this summer as the two teams are keen on securing his services.

The striker played for the B Team in Northern Ireland for a pre-season game against Crusaders and they ended up winning 3-1.

Good option

McCausland’s already made his senior debut so it’s clear that he’s not too far away from being a full-time first-team player.

However, he’s still quite raw and needs to polish his skills so a loan move may be a very good idea for him this summer.

He’s impressing for the B team at the right time as scouts are being sent to track his progress and see whether or not he’s ready for a move this summer.

He is hitting the mark in pre season and all signs are pointing towards the people being impressed with what they’re seeing of him thus far.

It remains to be seen if he is satisfied with the quality of sides keen on signing him or if he feels he can do better.

There’s no denying he’s got the potential but he may have higher aspirations even if it’s a loan move this summer.

In other Rangers news, the club are now battling an English side for the services of an Arsenal defender set to leave this summer.
