Nottingham Forest ready ‘shock’ move to sign Rangers left-back Borna Barisic
Ross Wilson is lining up a “shock” raid on his former club Rangers by trying to sign Borna Barisic for Nottingham Forest, according to the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper reported on Friday night (14 July) that Steve Cooper’s top priority at the moment is to sort out his issues in the full-back area and Croatian left-back Barisic, 30, is on the radar at the City Ground.
The Scottish Sun claims that the Gers could command £2million for Barisic with Michael Beale potentially open to a deal now that Ridvan Yilmaz is back to full fitness.

Get rid
Barisic has been on the books at Ibrox way longer than he should have been.
Although he’s had the odd good spell, including the back-end of last season, overall he’s been a flop.
Has anyone been guilty of making as many mistakes in Old Firm games than Barisic in the five years he’s been at Ibrox?
The Croatia international has been an absolute liability at times, switching off when marking some of the best attacking players in the league.
While going forward, he’s probably the best left-back in the Scottish Premiership, the frailties when defending are too much to bare in the big games.
If we get £2million for a player in his 30s who’ll be out of contract next year, that will be amazing business by the Light Blues.
Barisic, it’s been nice knowing you. But you’ve overstayed your welcome and now is the perfect time for you to move on.
This is a good deal for everyone – except for billionaire-owned Nottingham Forest.
In other Rangers news, this player has been spotted undergoing his exit from the club.
