Barry Ferguson predicts exciting Rangers deal to sign Danilo amid transfer twist
Barry Ferguson is ‘”excited” after the transfer activity at Rangers this summer and expects more to come.
Ferguson has predicted via the Daily Record (15 July) that the club could add Danilo to the attacking options already brought in this summer.
Antonio Colak is close to sealing a switch away from Glasgow, as reported by Simone Lorini (14 July), yet Ferguson believes the arrival of Danilo would still leave the club with plenty of brilliant attacking options.

“I also won’t be surprised if Danilo comes in from Feyenoord,” Ferguson wrote.
“If Antonio Colak goes that would leave Beale picking from nine players – Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Kemar Roofe, Fashion Sakala, Todd Cantwell, Sam Lammers, Kieran Dowell, Tom Lawrence and Ianis Hagi – for four forward positions.”
“Now that really does feel like something worth getting excited about. It’s sending out a message that Rangers mean business again and that Celtic have been far too dominant for far too long.”
Exciting
Ferguson has hit the nail on the head. The only way to challenge at the top end of the table is to consistently add and improve upon your squad.
By freshening things up at Ibrox it will create more competition for places which will improve the performances of those on the pitch as they are being pushed by more quality from the bench. New players will also arrive with hunger and determination to make an impression.

Gers fans will be desperate to see their side regain the power in Scotland after Celtic claimed the title last season however this season could prove tricky.
The arrival of Brendan Rodgers will make the title race even more competitive this year and it therefore just reinforces how important it is for Rangers to have a competitive squad.
If Danilo does arrive as Ferguson has predicted, that will go a long way in helping to build that competitive squad.
In other Rangers news, the club are open to offers for their senior trio.
