Antonio Colak exit announcement just hours away at Rangers after ‘surprise’ transfer development
Rangers striker Antonio Colak looks all but set to complete his move to Serie B side Parma with an announcement just a few hours away, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 29-year-old, only moved to Ibrox last summer in a £2.5million deal from PAOK Salonika, scoring 18 goals from his 39 games in all competitions last season before injuries in the second half of the campaign hampered his progress.
Football Scotland reported on 14 July that a bid of around £2m has now been accepted by Rangers with the fee potentially rising through add-ons should certain criteria be met by the player.

And according to Gazzetta dello Sport (15 July, page 23), Colak underwent medical tests at the Serie B side on Friday (14 July) and the announcement of a three-year contract should be made official within a few hours.
Surprise end
With Rangers already completing deals for Abdallah Sima, Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers, Colak’s short stint at Ibrox now certainly looks to be coming to an abrupt but surprising end.
The senior striker can certainly count himself unlucky to be forming a key part of Beale’s exodus this summer considering his tremendous goal-scoring feats last season where he scored an impressive 18 goals in all competitions.

Colak showed his goalscoring touch on numerous occasions last season, but it’s clear after Michael Beale’s summer signings right now that the Croatian really isn’t his ideal frontman.
When a club changes managers in a short space of time, with Giovanni van Bronckhorst barely lasting a year, signings under the short-lived boss are always at risk, and that looks to be the unfortunate case with Colak.
The Croatian striker now looks to be packing his Ibrox bags before long, and a move to Italian certainly seems like the ideal step but a move to Serie B is a surprise, given he possesses the qualities to thrive in the Italian top-flight or even a top-flight European club.
It’s a surprising but sad end for a player who gave the Rangers fans some great memories last season.
In other Rangers news, this player has been spotted undergoing his exit from the club.
