Rangers way clear to submit new Danilo bid amid exit development at Ibrox
Rangers are pushing for Feyenoord striker Danilo, which may be helped along by the £2.5million sale of Antonio Colak to Parma, according to The Scottih Sun.
Manager Michael Beale is reportedly desperate to bring the Brazillian to Ibrox and the sale of Colak will allow an improved bid to be made for Danilo, who reportedly is keen on the move.
The club’s deal for Colak to join Parma, amid links to Serie B side Pisa, also means they will recoup the entire £1.8million fee [Sky Sports] they paid PAOK for his services last summer

Sensible replacement
Colak’s short Rangers career was no failure despite its brevity.
The Croat scored 14 league goals for the Gers, including 13 goals in his first 16 games. However, injury struck the in-form striker and he only made 10 league appearances for the remainder of the season.
Offloading his services, for a profit appears to be wise business from Rangers, especially if it can help them land a top attacking target in Danilo.

However, Rangers recently had a £3.5million offer rebutted, with the Dutch champions wanting £7million for their man [The Sun].
Rangers’ transfer window so far has been a statement of intent, bringing in the likes of Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima and Cyriel Dessers while they have open talks with midfielder Jose Cifuentes from LAFC.
Should this be a like-for-like squad replacement, then it could be a smart move. Danilo is five years younger than Colak at just 24 years old and with 14 goals in all competitions last season he is a proven goalscorer.
His goal contribution rate is exceptional and he looks set to make a real impact in the SPL. His 0.61 non-penalty goals per 90 (91st percentile) and 0.20 assists per 90 (89th percentile) [FBRef] show that he could be a lethal component of Beale’s attack next season.
These goals will be needed following the departure of Alfredo Morelos, with the Colombian scoring 12 in all competitions. But Rangers are aware of their need for goals and have suitably brought in some quality and young talent with the profile to perform well in the Scottish league.
Danilo looks set to be their latest addition and may be the best addition yet.
In other Rangers news, an unnamed Saudi Arabian club are reportedly closing in on a seven-figure deal for one of Gers’ attacking talents.
