Update emerges on £1.6m Rangers legal battle after new partnership formed

Rangers are reportedly no longer facing any legal action over their withdrawal from the Sydney Super Cup after forming a new partnership.

According to the Scotsman [12 July, Page 60], TEG were seeking £1.6million from the club and that saw Gers facing court action.

However, after having formed a new partnership with the tournament organisers that suit has now been dropped.

Rangers

Finally

The entire saga was pretty ridiculous and it’s good to see it finally coming to an end.

Rangers often find themselves in the wrong side of these affairs and it was a hefty fee that they were asked to pay.

Thankfully, an agreement has been reached and the club can move on from it and focus on things that are more important.

Right now, all that matters is to get the team ready for the upcoming season and to win the league title once again.

Celtic changing managers can only prove to be a good thing for the 55-time champions.

It’s time to get in a couple of more quality additions and give Michael Beale all the ammunition he needs to go out and win.

There should be at least two new signings and the money is there to get that done.

In other Rangers news, the club have now received a breakthrough in their pursuit to complete another summer signing as a key target will not be signing an extension.
