Scott Arfield sends Leon Balogun three-word message as Rangers transfer confirmed

Former Rangers midfielder Scott Arfield has sent a three-word message to Leon Balogun after the latter rejoined the club.

Nigeria international Balogun has moved back to Ibrox on a one-year deal, having played for the club from 2020-2022.

And former Gers ace Arfield is among the many players to send the centre-back a message of congratulations following the move.

The two players were teammates at the Ibrox club, with Arfield donning the Gers shirt from 2018 before departing earlier this summer.

Posting about his new move on Instagram, Balogun wrote: “Coming home.”

Commenting on the post, his former Gers teammate Arfield noted: “Congratulations big fella.”

All the love

Balogun is getting plenty of love upon his return to Rangers, with many people sending warm messages of congratulations to the defender.

He will be delighted with all the well-wishes, but the hard work will undoubtedly be getting started now as he looks to immediately hit the ground running back at Ibrox.

Both Balogun and Arfield certainly know how difficult it can be in Glasgow, with Michael Beale’s men falling at every hurdle last season in their bid to keep up with fierce rivals Celtic.

Everyone connected with the Ibrox outfit will now be desperately hoping to turn the tables next season, and Balogun is certain to play a major role in that pursuit across all competitions.

The 35-year-old has all the experience to help Beale and his many youngsters succeed next time out, but it really will be a big ask as Celtic will undoubtedly be strong once again under the returning Brendan Rodgers.

In other Rangers news, one Gers star has sent a one-word message to a player after a big-money Premier League development was confirmed.
