Rangers transfer news as Glen Kamara demands to leave Ibrox now
Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara has demanded to leave the club, as he looks to join Besiktas this summer, according to Turkish outlet Sozcu.com.
Kamara has demanded he leave Ibrox, with talks over the transfer continuing between the two clubs, with his current market price said to be set around £4.7million.
Previous reports have suggested Kamara may have been approached regarding a loan deal to Turkey [Fotospor, 5 July], while separate reports shared he could also be subject to interest from Premier League sides including Leeds and Southampton [GIVEMESPORT, 11 July].

Manager Senol Gunes has approved the transfer, as Kamara is an ideal midfielder for him, with his speed, physical strength, dribbling ability and ability to direct the game.
It is time for Kamara to leave the club
After four and a half years in Glasgow, it seems like the time has come for Kamara to leave the club, after a successful spell in which the midfielder helped Rangers to win the SPFL title for the first time in ten years, as well as the Scottish Cup.
The midfielder was a regular and fan-favourite under Steven Gerrard, but Michael Beale’s time at the club has been less favourable to him as he fell out of the side in March following a cup final defeat to Celtic.
Following his former teammate and title winner Ryan Kent, a move to Turkey could provide an opportunity for Kamara to continue playing at a high level in European competition.

On the other hand, a move to either Southampton or Leeds would see Kamara feature in England where he spent the very early stages of his career, playing for Southend, Arsenal and Colchester, mostly at youth level. An opportunity to fight for promotion to the Premier League could be hard to turn down.
Either way, Kamara should be given a positive send-off by Rangers fans, due to the large part he played in reclaiming the title and preventing Celtic from reaching 10-in-a-row.
In other Rangers news, the club are lining up another defender deal after Leon Balogun.
