Michael Beale values two things in Leon Balogun as Rangers transfer updates emerges

Rangers are reportedly mooted to re-sign Leon Balogun on a season-long contract as Leon King suffered an injury for a significant period.

According to the Scottish Daily Mail [12 July, Page 62], Michael Beale values the defender’s adaptability and leadership as he bids to bring him back to the club.

A timescale is yet to be put on King but it’s understood that he will miss months of action for the first team.

Makes sense

If Beale trusts Balogun after having worked with him, then is a deal that the fans should be getting behind as well.

He may not be a name that excites too many supporters but he could prove to be an efficient signing if he passes all the checks.

His fitness may have previously been an issue but if the medical staff can green light this deal then he certainly will be someone wroth bringing in.

It also remains to be seen how this affects the deal for Jonathan Panzo and whether or not that one is still on the cards for the 55-time champions.

If Balogun is joining, it makes sense to do this deal as soon as possible so he joins the pre-season squad and begins work with the team.

There shouldn’t be too many complications as he’ll join on a free and has been at the club already so hopefully it’s straightforward.
